People have been enjoying pistachios for almost 10,000 years. And like people, they survive in a variety of climates. Their shells enable them to endure both deserts and temperatures below freezing. Their flowering trees are unisexual, the plants being either male or female, giving them a certain sensuality I think I've captured here.
